Green Oration is the idea of Australian Greens Leader, Senator Bob Brown, who has always recognised the global importance of Tasmania producing the world’s first Green political party.

Senator Brown wanted to stage an annual oration that would bring the world’s brightest green minds back to the birthplace of the political movement.

Now in its third year, the Green Oration has proved a hit with audiences who no doubt agree with his sentiment that great thinkers and orators are vital for great changes in human history.
