Tim Morris MP

"Travelling throughout the vast electorate of Lyons, people want to know, if the State’s economy is doing so well, why they are on public hospital waiting lists, why their work conditions are less than their national counterparts, where is the public housing, why literacy and numeracy levels are falling behind, why big business receives government assistance instead of regional employment, and why they are still having to boil their water – working to resolve these is the Greens’ priority ." - Tim Morris MP

Tim Morris has represented the people of Lyons in Tasmania’s House of Assembly since July 2002.

ASSISTING DROUGHT-AFFECTED FARMERS

Do you Need Help To Secure Breeding Stock?

Can You Help Provide Agistment For fellow Farmers?

Welcome to the Greens contact point to assist drought-affected farmers get in touch with other property owners who can provide agistment for their core breeding stock.

"We recognise that securing core breeding stock is crucial to secure the ability of farmers to get back onto their feet once the curent severe drought conditions lessen. A viable business needs care breeding stock." - Tim Morris MP, Greens Member for Lyons.

By providing this central contact point I am offering to be a conduit between those who can offer agistment, and those who need it for their breeding stock.

Can you help? Please email email at greens@parliament.tas.gov.au and provide me your contact details, the location of your property and how many hectares you can make available for agistment purposes.

Do you require agistment? Please email me at greens@parliament.tas.gov.au and provide me your contact details, and number of stock which you are seeking agistment.

Please note: The Greens are not in a position to 'broker' any agistment arrangements, instead our offer is to provide practical assistance by putting property owners and farmers in touch with each other. Also note that both parties should be aware of their responsibilities regarding NLIS tags and the minimisation of the spread of weeds and diseases when moving stock from one area to another.
